HARROGATE, ENGLAND, September 23, 2010 (Press-News.org) A rising Harrogate Law firm has launched a Personal Injury Claims Department to its expanding portfolio of client services.
The new unit within Ashworth Law is being led by Lucy-Ann Kirkham, a member of the Law Society Specialist Personal Injury Panel.
Co-founded by Mathew Cobley, the firm specialises in pursuing mis-sold payment protection insurance, credit card charges and investigating mortgage misdemeanours, with the new, key, addition of personal injury.
Mrs Kirkham, who formerly served on the Law Society's Clinical Negligence Panel and has been practising in this field for almost 15 years, will initially lead a team of three, based in the firm's Grove Park Court head office.
She said: "I'm delighted to be heading the Ashworth Law Personal Injury team at this exciting time. Ashworth Law is gaining an enviable reputation across the North of England, and Personal Injury is an area that the company is keen to develop further.
During her career, Lucy-Ann has been involved in a number of high-profile personal injury law suits, including a group action claim by former psychiatric patients against the doctor who treated them.
She added: "Even though we are based in Harrogate our client base is nationwide."
Ashworth Law LDP co-founder Mathew Cobley said: "The creation of the Personal Injury department under Lucy-Ann's leadership marks another exciting phase in the company's relatively young history."
Ashworth Law, which opened its doors last year, employs a team of nearly 40, based in Harrogate and at its recently opened Manchester office.
It is now handling instructions from 4,000 new clients a month and has recovered in excess of GBP15 million for clients mis-sold financial policies.
The company operates in two distinct fields of expertise. 'Ashworth For You' specializes in civil litigation, family law and personal injury, while 'Ashworth for Business' is dedicated to debt management, debt collection, financial claims and corporate benefits.
Further information is available from Mathew Cobley at Ashworth Law LDP on 0871 288 7020, or by visiting the Ashworth Law website at http://www.ashworthlaw.co.uk
