This capability, along with the standard Trailer Sway Control allow just about anything to be safely hauled from one place to another. The standard 6-speed automatic transmission has a towhaul mode that drivers can use when they are using the trailer to optimize the F-150's performance. The 2012 Ford F-150 also has a best-in-class payload capability of 3,050 lbs. This truck has the largest cargo box in its class, providing 81.3 cubic feet of space.

The 2012 F-150 provides a quiet ride down the road with its stiff frame and body, shear-style body mounts, door seals, Quiet Steel, and a noise-absorbing headliner.
