NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL, January 11, 2012 (Press-News.org) With the looks, the stance, and the swagger, you would never imagine that dance ingenue Glenn Douglas Packard was ever told he won't be able to move the way he does anymore.
How so?
Glenn Douglas Packard is the 'the dancing entrepreneur' now, as dubbed by The New York Times itself, but back in the day, Glenn was a simple dairy farm boy in Clare, Michigan. He was set to take over the family business and prosper doing just that. But at 19, an accident would change his fate.
Glenn was badly injured after a tractor accident. It broke his back; the infection was so terrible that it spread over his body, nearly costing him his leg. While in treatment in the hospital, he fought to recover instead of die, and he received clarity - that if God helped him heal, he would do what he had always wanted. And so Glenn did - thank God - and his mobility returned; that's when he decided he was going to enroll in dance school. See, Glenn's passion is really dancing.
Sure, Glenn was a late bloomer; he studied dance when he was already 21 years old. While learning to bust a move, he discovered he could also sing and from there, he caught the attention of super-producer Lou Pearlman, the man behind the successful boy bands Backstreet Boys and N*Sync. Glenn became part of the newest boy band phenomenon twONEty (pronounced as 21). With the group, Glenn traveled to Europe, hitting 75 cities in 15 countries. Under Pearlman's management, Glenn was able to collaborate with fellow rising star Brooke Hogan. To this day, they remain good friends.
Glenn has not turned back. His dancing career has continuously flourished. He has been honored with an Emmy nomination for his artistic direction on 'Michael'. Glenn is a very in-demand dancer/choreographer. His work has been featured on NBC's 'Saturday Night Live' and HBO; he has performed in music videos and various stage performances with today's pop music icons: Pink, Destiny's Child, Missy Elliot, Nelly Furtado, Whitney Houston, Usher, and even the legendary Liza Minelli. Even Morocco's King Mohammed VI has requested a performance by Glenn!
There's no stopping Glenn Douglas Packard. Whether he's dancing on stage, behind the scenes, singing, recording, or performing, he is indeed a total entertainer. With his single 'Love Dance featuring Beu Sisters', you're made to take a chance and Glenn's music is worth it.
