A New Year and a New Vision at Multicare Health Clinic

Sioux City, IA—Multicare Physicians Group is starting the new year with a new vision and a new name—Multicare Health Clinic.

2012-02-08
SIOUX CITY, IA, February 08, 2012 (Press-News.org) Multicare Physicians Group is starting the new year with a new vision and a new name—Multicare Health Clinic.

But why the name change? For 9 years Multicare Physicians has operated under the same name with the same vision, but now, they are seeing an increased demand from their patients for a different type of care: family wellness & healthcare. "No longer can we simply be a pain clinic," adds Dr. Scott Sneller, clinic director of MultiCare, "we have seen so many patients respond faster and get back to health with our multidisciplinary care that we decided: why not have a name that expresses that too? Multicare Health Clinic is more descriptive of what we do, what we can do, and what services we offer."

Their new name, Multicare Health Clinic, embodies their new vision well. The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has stepped up efforts to increase the health of America by in recent years, aiming to increase the number of adolescents who obtain a wellness physical from to over 75% by 2020, which MultiCare is actively helping Siouxland work towards. Multicare offers reduced sports physicals for high school athletes to screen for potentially problematic health problems before teens start taking their bodies to their limits.

To further help America work towards wellness, MultiCare has added for 2012 the ability to counsel patients on proper nutrition and exercise, which are critical to any wellness setting. "We are setting up patients for health and wellness, reducing their chances of health problems later in life. I'm excited about the change for that reason: we can change anyone's life, young or old, small or tall." said Dr. Sneller.

Multicare Health Clinic is one of two clinics of it's kind in the state of Iowa, leading the way for healthcare in Siouxland by combining the best of the Medical, Chiropractic, and Physical Therapy fields for faster patient healing. The right team, the right care. MultiCare.
