Calgary Food Blogger Bake Sale at Casel Marche a Fundraising Success

Food bloggers raise funds for Brown Bagging for Calgary's Kids Society

2012-02-24
CALGARY, AB, February 24, 2012 (Press-News.org) Food bloggers united together on February 11 and 12 for the Calgary Food Blogger Bake Sale. The bake sale was held for the first time at Casel Marche in Calgary's Southwest, and benefited the Brown Bagging for Calgary's Kids Society.

Well known food bloggers from across the city gathered inside Casel Marche over the two day weekend to sell their favourite home-baked goods in hopes of collecting donations for the charity. The bake sale was a success; participants were able to raise $1,900 for the Brown Bagging for Calgary's Kids Society, which provides daily lunches to less fortunate children and youth.

Vincci Tsui, who organized the bake sale, told us "I can't thank Niklas Group enough for letting me hold the Calgary Food Blogger Bake Sale at Casel Marche. It was a very successful event". Tsui also mentioned that she is looking forward to turning the bake sale into an annual event, and hopes to continue to hold it at Casel Marche. "There were so many people at the bake sale who commented on how they had driven or walked by and never came in, and were so pleasantly surprised by the Casel Marche concept".
