YORKSHIRE, ENGLAND, February 24, 2012 (Press-News.org) Simply Ghost Nights are so very proud to offer you the chance to join us on the very first paranormal investigation EVER allowed at the Merchants Hall in York. Never before has the hall had an investigation of this kind and being exclusive to simply ghost nights we hope you come along and join in to see who exactly has been causing the eerie feelings and many ghost sightings reported.
Set in beautiful gardens in the centre of historic York stands the Merchant Adventurers' Hall. This grand building has been a meeting place some 650 years after construction began in 1357. There are three main rooms in the Hall. The Great Hall where the medieval merchants first gathered to conduct business and to socialise. The Under croft which was used as an alms house to help the sick and the poor. The Chapel offering spiritual care for the sick and needy of York.
The Merchant Adventurers' Hall is of major national importance and is a grade 1 listed building and scheduled ancient monument. It was built between 1357 and 1361, before most of the craft or trade guild halls in Britain, making it one of the largest buildings of its kind and date in Britain. It is very unusual to be able to see in one building the three rooms serving the three functions of a medieval guild; business and social in the Great Hall, charitable in the Under croft and religious in the Chapel.
On a recent visit to this breathtaking medieval building we were told of the little Tudor boy who has been seen many times in the great hall, also in the ane rooms many people have reported that they could hear the sound of someone sweeping the floor in the same room even though no one is actually there. In another of the Anti rooms the distinct aroma of tobacco is often smelt as suddenly as it goes. Down in the under croft many people refuse to be alone and often have reported to staff they felt the need to leave due to feeling unnerved.
Join the Simply Ghost Nights team and attempt spirit communication using ouija boards, glass divination, table tipping and using the latest ghost hunting equipment, to find out which ghostly residents of the The Merchants Adventurer's Hall will come and make their presence known.
Simply Ghost Nights offers a unique event package, a ghost hunting event whether it's for a corporate function, or for individuals. Simply Ghost Nights is at the fore front of providing a wealth of experience and all the latest ghost hunting equipment for their ghost hunters to use.
