PHILADELPHIA, PA, February 24, 2012 (Press-News.org) Mark S. Carrow, CPA, MST, the Philadelphia Managing Partner of accounting, tax and business consulting firm Citrin Cooperman, will discuss the financial considerations associated with succession planning for businesses at an upcoming program hosted by the Southern Lehigh and Upper Bucks Chambers of Commerce. "Succession Planning: Protecting Your Business for the Long Term," will be held on March 7, 2012 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at DeSales University Center in Center Valley, Pa.
The program will focus on business succession of leadership or ownership, including proactive steps to succession and exit planning; foundational elements for a successful succession, merger or acquisition; maximizing the financial benefits of a succession; and understanding buy-sell agreements. It will also include a case study of the succession of CEOs at QNB (formerly Quakertown National Bank). Carrow will be joined by panelists Edward J. Lentz, Esq., Shareholder of Fitzpatrick, Lentz & Bubba; Tom Bisko, CEO of QNB; David Freeman, President and COO of QNB; and Gina F. Rubel, Esq., President and CEO of Furia Rubel Marketing and Public Relations.
Carrow provides tax services and business consulting advice to closely held entities, executives of publicly held corporations and development-stage enterprises. He focuses on implementing tax and financial planning strategies to optimize business transactions. He also works with start-up companies to provide appropriate entity structure advice, valuation expertise and financial consulting. Carrow concentrates on the financial services, franchising, hedge fund and legal industries, with particular emphasis in franchising.
