Rittal and Phoenix Contact Achieve Success In Diverse Markets in February's Edition of Energy Digital

"The future belongs to those who have visions, and have the courage and dedication to turn them into a reality," says the message across Friedhelm Loh Group's online homepage.

SAN DIEGO, CA, February 29, 2012

"The future belongs to those who have visions, and have the courage and dedication to turn them into a reality," says the message across Friedhelm Loh Group's online homepage. Indeed, the Germany-based company has implemented this message into its practices, operating eight global businesses since founding its original operations in 1961.

The German parent company has operated two independent subsidiaries in Australia since 1994: Phoenix Contact, a leading manufacturer in electric and industrial technology, and Rittal, a global supplier of enclosures and housing technologies, in addition to thousands of other products. With 9,000 employees in Australia and more than 40 worldwide subsidiaries, Rittal holds the largest presence in-country. Globally, Phoenix Contact employs 11,000 people. The two started together as a joint venture, but have since split off into two nationally recognised brands.

Both companies' procurement operations are extremely global: Rittal operates more than 19 manufacturing sites around the world - from Europe to the UK, the US and around Asia - and Phoenix Contact's plants are just as widespread. Though Friedhelm Loh Group is a German company, both Australian subsidiaries are true blue in their continuous responsibility to provide the latest products to the nation.
