WOODMERE, NY, March 13, 2012 (Press-News.org) Local entrepreneurs are helping bring awareness to the need for more places for dog owners to take their dogs for exercise and socialization by hosting a "St. Patrick's Day Goes To The Dogs" event at their indoor dog park.
Ellen Adler and Evelyn Franklin, owners of Fido Fitness Club are temporarily putting business on hold to participate in a fund raising event for Long Island Dog Owners Group LIDOG, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to increasing access to public parkland for Long Island dog owners and their dogs.
This afternoon event is taking place on March 18, 2012 at Fido Fitness Club, Long Island's first 4,000 sq ft Indoor Dog Park, that provides a safe space for dogs to run, socialize with their owners and other dogs.
St. Patrick's Day Goes To The Dogs
Dog owners are invited to bring their well-behaved dogs for an afternoon of fun, games and socializing.
The event includes St. Patrick's Day Doggy Parade, 50/ 50 Raffle, Talent Show, Games, Raffle for Prizes, DJ Music, Snacks and Refreshments.
All proceeds will go to LI-DOG, a non-profit organization.
LI-DOG.org is seeking to increase access to public parkland and beaches to responsible Long Island dog owners. This event looks to spread the message and socialize our dogs.
"I can't wait, this looks like it's going to be a good time", says Ellen, owner of Fido Fitness Club, "and it's for a good cause."
