WITNESS 12 Lands in the Americas; First Customers Experience Benefits

The first customers to experience the new edition of Lanner's flagship WITNESS software package are praising its latest incarnation, WITNESS 12, which arrived in the firm's American markets in February.

2012-03-26
HOUSTON, TX, March 26, 2012 (Press-News.org) The first customers to experience the new edition of Lanner's flagship WITNESS software package are praising its latest incarnation, WITNESS 12, which arrived in the firm's American markets in February.

Users of the desktop simulation platform say that WITNESS 12, designed around Microsoft's latest professional authoring interface, makes it one of the most comprehensive and reliable tools for simulation in the marketplace today.

Speaking from Fluor Corporation offices in Irvine, California, independent engineering consultant Harry Kortnicki comments, "Fluor's typical customers are in a wide range of highly competitive industries. The client's most frequent need is the development of models simulating their operations delivering accurate and verified simulation results to deadline. With the recent release of WITNESS 12, the product has reached a level that certainly makes my job easier in responding to those needs."

Kortnicki, a veteran WITNESS user with over 20 years of simulation experience, has developed models across a wide array of applications ranging from analysis of complex logistics networks to Reliability-Availability-Maintainability (RAM) analysis of process systems such as refineries and gas processing plants. He continues, "Clients require analyses to be performed as quickly as possible so they can proceed with advanced design stages and construction with the confidence that the results represent reality.

"This can be a challenge when building large models with complex logic that have a risk of numerical or logic errors invalidating model results. I rely on the graphics capability of WITNESS to develop dynamic displays of operations that are essential to my verification of models and in presentations to clients."

"Using the new edition WITNESS package I have full confidence we can deliver quick and accurate results to customers however complicated the model."

Developed for Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit), WITNESS 12 is designed in line with Microsoft professional authoring products such as Visual Studio 2011 in order to provide optimized interface and simulation tools. Size and flexibility of on-screen working area aids model development and manipulation, while the optimizer module accelerates "what-if" experimentation. Report creation, model interactivity, docking options for windows, tool bars, and full screen support further promote speed to action and productivity.

Any business can use the proven simulation software and services delivered by Lanner to maximize its performance and optimize the use of resources. Lanner is an international company with headquarters in the UK.
