For example, the Dorje vertical turbine combines traditional mechanical wind-power concepts with such high-tech innovations such as rare-earth magnetic bearings and high output generators. The Dorje vertical wind turbine uses magnetic levitation or "maglev" bearings to eliminate the friction of the weight of the vertical impeller.
