QTS Group disposes of its civil engineering plant hire division

QTS Group Ltd is to dispose of the assets and current contracts of its civil engineering external plant hire division, in order to focus on the continued expansion of its very successful Rail Division.

2010-09-28
LANARKSHIRE, SCOTLAND, September 28, 2010 (Press-News.org) QTS Group Ltd is pleased to announce that, due to an expansion of its rail specialised plant and contracting activities, it has agreed a deal with Blackwood Plant Hire Ltd whereby Blackwood will take over the assets and current contracts of QTS Group's civil engineering external plant hire division.

QTS Group Ltd will retain a number of civil engineering machines for internal use on its own ongoing contracts across the group, and will continue to supply external hires of specialised and RRV (Road Rail Vehicle) plant.

The Group wishes Tom Blackwood every success with his newly expanded fleet, and looks forward to working closely with the company as its preferred approved supplier.

The Group has decided to focus on the continued expansion of its very successful Rail Division, and to concentrate on building its growing market share south of the border.

Over the last few months the Rail Division has acquired 4 additional RRV excavators, with more acquisitions planned over the autumn. The Rail Division enjoys an excellent and growing reputation, and currently has a healthy order book for 2010/11.

The Group has also acquired a number of new blue chip clients over the last 6 months, including British Telecom, and is looking forward to continued growth and prosperity through competent project delivery and excellent client relationships.

The Group also has a number of R&D Projects which are coming to fruition, and this will continue to be an area where the Group plans to increase its investment year on year. Last month's Network Rail product acceptance and launch of the Group's new forwarder / chipper illustrates QTS Group's commitment to R&D, and is already showing promise of an early return on investment.

QTS Group Ltd would like to take this opportunity to thank all of its clients and suppliers for their continued support, and looks forward to maintaining existing and building new mutually beneficial working relationships in the future.
