LateRooms.com - Halloween Fun on Norfolk's Spooky Express

The Bure Valley Railway will operate its Spooky Express at the end of next month.

2010-09-28
NORFOLK, ENGLAND, September 28, 2010 (Press-News.org) Families looking for some Halloween fun and frights during their time in Norfolk towards the end of next month should check out the Spooky Express.

The special event, which is being run by the Bure Valley Railway, is sure to be entertaining and scary in equal measures for youngsters and their parents.

It runs from October 23rd to 31st 2010 from Aylsham Station on Norwich Road, with guests staying in Norfolk hotels who ride the train having the chance to meet the organiser's mascot Railway Bear.

A free kids' competition will be held throughout the train ride, with prizes handed out to every child who manages to correctly spot one of the numerous spooky items that will be dotted around the carriages.

Youngsters who work up an appetite after all that ghost hunting can enjoy a Halloween meal at Aylsham Station's Whistlestop Cafe, while adults can take the opportunity to relax with a hot or cold drink.

Taking part in the scary journey need not cost an arm and a leg, as children are able to ride for free when they are accompanied by a fare-paying adult.

Standard tickets for adults cost GBP11.50 for a return from Aylsham to Wroxham.

Trains operate between 10:00 and 17:25 BST on weekdays, and from 10:00 to 18:15 at weekends.

For more information on this event, visit the Bure Valley Railway website or contact the organisers on 01263 733858.
