The company will be participating in the Farmington Hills Earth Day Walk on Friday, April 20th, along with joining Greening of Detroit for a park cleanup on Wednesday April 25th in honor of Earth Day this month.

Secure-24 reported today that its award-winning data center located in Plymouth Township (Mich.) measures a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) rate of 1.6. A data center PUE is determined by the amount of power the facility actually uses to run computing equipment, in contrast to cooling and other overhead. Industry surveys report an average data center PUE of 2.0. In comparison, Secure-24's lower PUE value translates into a more highly efficient data center.

Secure-24 invested $5 million to build the Plymouth Township data center from the ground up in 2009. In building the data center, every element was designed with reducing the carbon footprint in mind.
