Health Coach Tricia Cardone Pursues Passion for Healthy Living

Helping people cut through the relentless barrage of health advice, warnings and fads to choose the best options for their needs is a passion for Tricia Cardone, CN , CHHC.

2012-05-04
KANSAS CITY, MO, May 04, 2012 (Press-News.org) Cardone, owner of Nutritional Healing Technologies, Inc., helps people with their health and wellness needs by following a simple philosophy.

"I don't preach to people about their health," said Cardone. "I focus on helping them listen to their bodies. Every person has a unique set of health and wellness needs," she explains. Cardone focuses on listening to the person and, in turn, getting them to pay close attention to what their bodies are telling them.

Cardone often suggests that her clients keep a food diary to help pinpoint troubling foods. For example, if a client experiences excessive gas and/or abdominal bloating every time he or she eats a particular food, this may be a sign that he or she is having trouble digesting that particular food. Now, this is by no means a definitive assessment but rather just an example of tuning in and listening to the body.

Cardone works with people suffering from numerous health concerns, including but not limited to autoimmune health concerns, gluten sensitivity, high cholesterol, blood sugar concerns, difficulty losing weight, food sensitivities, constipation, PMS, and fatigue.

She said that many of her clients search for a lengthy period of time before finding the right health coach.

"So many people have trouble finding someone who cares--someone trustworthy who can and will take the time to help them. That includes finding the right products and resources for their needs. The bottom line is they want to feel better, and that's our focus."

Cardone knows this firsthand. "Not only have I been doing this a long time but I have been in my clients' shoes," she said. "I first became interested in this field as a result of trying to naturally heal from my own health issues back in 1994."

Nutritional Healing Technologies is a web-based (www.apassionforhealthyliving.com/) company that offers nutritional consultations and health coaching programs that get people to think about all-around healthy living. The site has a healthy living store that offers professional quality vitamins and supplements, certified gluten-free skin care products, aromatherapy hot packs, various protein powders and protein bars, greens products, juicers, and natural bath and body products.

The current public interest in gluten-free lifestyles is an area where Cardone's consultations and product sales have a keen focus.

"I believe that, for many, going the natural path and choosing a gluten-free lifestyle has hit an all-time high," Cardone said. "People are looking for answers to their health concerns and they are using the Internet to educate themselves as best they can. I love working with those who have auto-immune health concerns, gluten sensitivity, and people just looking to improve their general lifestyle habits."

In that vein, Cardone offers nutritional consultations and health coaching that focuses on whole food nutrition and, if warranted, vitamins and supplements, to help clients achieve their health and wellness goals. She offers consultations in-person and via telephone and Skype.

"It's a goal of getting people to think about all-around healthy living. I'm more concerned about the person getting the help they need," she said. "I'm not at all about selling a product just to make a sale. It has to be the right product for the client's needs. Being a "foodie" myself, anyone who knows me knows I'm truly all about the food! Supplements are important and, at times, very necessary, but we don't want to rely on them as a magic bullet. We need to learn how to build a strong foundation by choosing the right foods for our specific individual needs."

The Shawnee on Delaware, Pennsylvania-based health coach continually hones her craft and seeks out the latest information regarding nutritional health and wellness through various seminars, lectures and professional development courses. Her passion for lifelong learning is a commitment she makes to better understand and meet her clients' needs.

Cardone is a Board Certified Holistic Health Coach. She is a graduate of the prestigious Institute for Integrative Nutrition of New York City. This training has inspired her to pursue her passion of teaching clients about whole food nutrition, healthy cooking, and holistic approaches to healthy living.

An established natural foods cook/instructor, Cardone is in the process of planning ongoing cooking classes (both for local clients and via cooking videos) for those with various health concerns by teaching them cooking alternatives with the omission of gluten, dairy and refined sugars.

"Healthy food is delicious," Cardone said. "I love showing people just how wonderful healthy food can taste."
She offers free e-books at her healthy living store http://www.NHTHealthyLiving.com/ including "Getting Started with Better Health" and "Power Smoothies." The site also includes tips, recipes, client testimonials and a menu of Cardone's consultation services. Website visitors may also sign up for an email newsletter and shop for a large variety of healthy living products and supplements.
