Jewish Federation Brings Its 'Entourage' to One Thousand Ocean

While the "White Party" raised funds for Jewish Federation beneficiaries, guests met and mingled with Doug Ellin, creator of HBO's Entourage, against a backdrop of sea, city and sky at One Thousand Ocean in Boca Raton.

2012-05-11
BOCA RATON, FL, May 11, 2012 (Press-News.org) Nearly 200 guests, the majority of whom wore all white for the occasion, recently attended the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County's Metro Ben Gurion Society "White Party" at One Thousand Ocean. A portion of the youthful, charity-minded crowd was comprised of members of The Ben Gurion Society, the Metro Division's most prestigious category. The Metro Division engages young adults through social, business, family, educational, leadership and philanthropic activities.

Held in One Thousand Ocean's largest penthouse, the event began with a reception for those young donors who make a minimum family gift of $1,000 to the Jewish Federation's Annual Campaign. Later, these guests were joined by other Federation supporters to socialize and celebrate the good work of philanthropy.

Doug Ellin, creator of the popular HBO television series Entourage, was on hand as a crowd pleaser. Guests mingled, were photographed with Ellin and able to ask him questions about his wildly successful Hollywood career, as well as how he personally gives back to the Jewish community.

Cocktails, kosher hors d'oeuvres, a deejay and fabulous views of sea, city and sky furthered the party spirit.

"We were delighted to open our 8,770-square-foot 'all white' penthouse to local Jewish couples and singles in their 20s, 30s and 40s who want to feel part of something larger than themselves. By joining together and helping others, they can really make a difference in the lives of people in need," said Jamie Telchin, president of development for LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels. An LXR affiliate developed the 52-residence Ocean-to-Intracoastal condo building at the Boca Raton Inlet which is just over 80% sold.

Co-chairs for the chic gathering were Richard and Shayna Martinoff, Erik and Hillary Rosenstrauch, and Craig and Jennifer Zeuner. Sponsors included Lesser Lesser Landy & Smith, One Thousand Ocean, L'Chaim Kosher Vodka and Atlas Party Rentals. The Sandelman Foundation graciously sponsors the Metro Division.
