Warplanes' Early Christmas Giveaway

Warplanes.com welcomes the Yuletide season this early by throwing away hand-crafted model airplanes your way!

PHOENIX, AZ, September 29, 2010

It is 88 days before Christmas and Warplanes is throwing away an early Christmas gift for all their Facebook fans and Twitter followers! They are giving away beautiful hand-made models of the F-15E Strike Eagle, F-16 Fighting Falcon and an Apache Longbow AH-64D through their blogging and twitting contest.

"Blog, Grab and Brag" Warplanes.com's Win a Model Airplane Contest are for Facebook fanatics and bloggers. To join, one must post a blog article stating the reason(s) on why he/she should win. A link to the entry should be posted on Warplanes' fan page wall. Started last September 23, this rare promotion goes on until 22nd of October.

An even easier way to grab a model plane is to retweet. The ReTweet To Win (Part 3) runs form September 23 to September 30. All you have to do is tweet "Warplanes.com, maker of the best model planes, is giving away #warplanes F-16 and F-15 model planes! RT this message to join!" plus include #warplanes as hash tags for better chances at winning. Winners are announced at specific date and time. This contest only lasts for a week so all twittizens must hurry while it's on.

Graeme Warring, Warplanes' President said, "Since Christmas season is fast approaching, we are feeling generous enough to give them an early Christmas present!"

Fans and followers expressed their excitement through Warplanes' Fan page with all their likes and comments.

One fan, seeing the F15 model airplane prize can't help but exclaim "One of my favorite planes! Nice! This would look good on my cabinet at work. My employees would love it!"

Another fan said "I'm working on it (the blog) now, first chance I have had. I hope I win."

These promotions have received positive feedback as fans have been actively retweeting and posting their blog entries.

One example is Michael Miller, an aviation enthusiast, whose blog was simply compelling. His entry entitled "Trying my luck for an F-15 model plane", Miller said that he was so excited when he found out about the contest. Miller was not a blogger and didn't have an idea on how to do it until wanting an F-15 model pushed him to do so. "So why do I deserve an F-15 model airplane from Warplanes? Heck, I'm not a blogger and I was not introduced to wordpress until now! (If you notice this is my first entry.) You made me do this Warplanes! You made me do this!"

Feeling like a modern day Santa Clause, Mr. Warring said it is one of the many ways to thank their company's fans and followers. He then added that he knows exactly how much these model planes mean to veterans, historians and collectors.

"As I have always said, these planes are more than just a display piece. For most people who understand their true value, they are a symbol of pride and honor." It is a masterpiece that reflects interest, lives, achievements, pride and heroism.
