DOYLESTOWN, PA, June 08, 2012 (Press-News.org) Bencardino Excavating (www.bencardino.com), a Bucks County-based excavation company led by Lou Bencardino, put the finishing touches on the Lower Bucks County Public Safety Training Center in Bristol Township, Pa. Bencardino Excavating's Project Foreman Lou Biskup and Project Manager, Dave Fink oversaw the final steps of the project which included the installation of aerators in the retention basin at the Center, which is one of the Bucks County Community College's educational training facilities.
Bucks County Community College offers safety training courses in the field of public safety operation and management, professional certification, emergency management and industrial safety to increase skills and knowledge for those delivering lifesaving services. Previously, training courses were only provided at a Doylestown, Pa. site. With the completion of the Lower Bucks site, there is an additional location for educating trainees from other areas of Bucks County.
In 2010, the full-service excavation company was awarded the site development contract to complete work on the new public safety training center. At that time, the crew completed demolition and clearing of 10,000 yards of cut-to-fill, storm water and sanitary distribution along with curbs and paving. The aerator installation was the final step in the process.
"We always enjoy seeing a project from the beginning stages through to the final phase," said Louis Bencardino, owner of Bencardino Excavating. "As a Bucks County-based company, working in our backyard, especially for an educational institution like Bucks County Community College, is always a pleasure."
The training center features a concrete and masonry building, constructed for fire staging, as well as indoor and outdoor classroom areas. The center also offers capabilities for drills in residential, industrial building, office building, hotel, motel and roof emergency situations. Trainees can experience tanker fires, hazardous spills and natural and propane gas emergencies through a "Chemical Prop Pad."
Bencardino Excavating is committed to delivering the highest level of performance and quality to its clients. Louis Bencardino is a highly-skilled excavation and site work contractor who has an experienced team of project managers, foremen, construction professionals and craftspeople. The full-service excavation company specializes in complete site work services including construction, excavation, electrical, demolition, asphalt paving and final finish work.
