LONDON, ENGLAND, June 27, 2012 (Press-News.org) A new exhibition celebrating the life and work of reggae legend Bob Marley is set to open in London on July 24th.
The display, which is titled Messenger: The Bob Marley Exhibition, features many rare photographs and items taken from the Marley family's private collection.
It can be seen at the British Music Experience, an interactive museum of popular music located within The O2.
Items on display will include the Jamaican singer's famous Gibson Les Paul guitar, photographs of Marley both on and off stage, concert posters and exclusive interview footage.
Visitors will be encouraged to consider Marley's significance as both a private, spiritual individual and an inspirational performer.
Admission is free with entrance to the British Music Experience, which is priced at GBP12 for adults and GBP6 for children.
The exhibition, which will run until Monday October 22nd, is part of a series of events taking place at The O2 called Jamaican Summer.
Artists such as Lee Scratch Perry, Damian Marley, Tarrus Riley and Horace Andy are due to perform as the venue celebrates 50 years of Jamaican independence.
