amfAR holds Inspiration Paris Gala for AIDS Research

The evening of the 28th June 2012 promises another top level red carpet charity event with the staging of The Inspiration Paris Gala 2012 in France's capital city.

The evening of the 28th June 2012 promises another top level red carpet charity event with the staging of The Inspiration Paris Gala 2012 in France's capital city. The Inspiration Paris Gala is an annual event held by amfAR, the American Foundation for AIDS Research, to raise money for and awareness of the fight against AIDS.

Chief high profile sponsors for this prestigious event will be M.A.C.Cosmetics, Rebecca Wang Entertainment, Piaget, and Delta Airlines.

The Gala will be held on the 28th June 2012 during the Paris Men's Fashion Week, at the iconic Parisian restaurant and club Maxims, well-known for its celebrity clientele and art nouveau interior.

The internationally renowned designer Marc Jacobs will be taking Honorary Chair. Robert Duffy, President of Marc Jacobs, and Marc Jacobs International, will be recipients of the Piaget Award of Inspiration. Sofia Coppola will be a special guest.

amfAR launched the Inspiration Series in 2010 to celebrate all aspects of men's fashion and style, while raising funds for the Foundation's lifesaving AIDS research programmes. Annual events take place in New York, Paris, Los Angeles, and Sao Paolo and have so far raised more than $3 million for AIDS research.

The events attract A-list celebrities and lead players across society, and also the press attention that goes along with their star power.
