NEW YORK, NY, June 28, 2012 (Press-News.org) On Wednesday, June 27, 2012, WAT-AAH!, a brand of functional water for kids and teens, will be the official beverage sponsor of The Steve Nash Foundation's 5th Annual Showdown in Chinatown, an all-star event where NBA stars compete alongside soccer's best in an innovative soccer match raising money to benefit children everywhere. Past rosters have included players such as Steve Nash, Thierry Henry, Claudio Reyna, Tony Parker, Adrian Mutu, Grant Hill, Ivan Cordoba, Baron Davis, Javier Zanetti, Jared Dudley, Ryan Babel, Brandon Jennings, Salomon Kalou, Simone Sandri, Demba Ba, Jason Kidd, and Chris Bosh, to name a few.

The Showdown is hosted annually by The Steve Nash Foundation at NYC's Sarah D. Roosevelt Park. Each year the event raises money to benefit children all over the world who are affected by poverty, illness, abuse and neglect. This year's event will benefit Educare Arizona, bringing the best practices in early learning to at-risk children.

WAT-AAH! will be one of this year's sponsors along with Major League Soccer (MLS), Adidas, others, providing beverages and fun merchandise for all of the events both on and off the field, including the Showdown After Hours Party at Penny Farthings.

Founded by Rose Cameron in 2008, WAT-AAH!'s mission is to reverse kids' dependency on sodas and sugary drinks and to make water their #1 beverage choice by making it contemporary and relevant to kids. The brand has been successfully marketing this premise, while benefiting children, through health and educational programs, sports and music, events and sponsorship including major partnerships with Beyonce Knowles and Michelle Obama's Let's Move!
