Traci R. DiCaprio: Non-Profit Organizations Are of Central Importance to Communities

US Airways donated $325,000 in grants to four non-profit organizations, prompting community involvement. Traci R. DiCaprio, founder of the non-profit organization Fairy Wings, Inc., believes these organizations to be pivotal to communities.

NEW YORK, NY, June 29, 2012 (Press-News.org) The Wall Street Journal reports that US Airways has donated $325,000 in grants to four individual non-profit organizations. Provided through the airline's Community Foundation, these grants focus on new construction and renovation of important community facilities in the company's four hub and focus locations. Traci R. DiCaprio, a psychic medium and the founder of the non-profit organization Fairy Wings, Inc., believes that these grants will spark a positive change in these communities.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the grants were distributed to organizations in Charlotte, North Carolina, Phoenix, Arizona, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC. The funds are meant to assist non-profits in "improving and expanding educational opportunities that teach skills to succeed in school and gain meaningful employment; programs that provide basic human needs to help encourage, sustain and develop economic self-reliance, and access to major arts and culture organizations that broaden artistic excellence."

Elise Eberwein, the Executive Vice President of People, Communications, and Public Affairs for US Airways, commented that, "US Airways is honored to support non-profit organizations that focus on sustainable change and result in healthy, vibrant communities."

"Without non-profit organizations, there would be many people who would not be able to afford the services they require," commented Traci R. DiCaprio. "The non-profit organization that I have founded, Fairy Wings, Inc., offers counseling and in memory crafts to honor loved ones who have passed away. The organization does not charge for these services; instead, we ask for donations. The funds from these donations are put towards helping those who cannot pay for these services at all. It is an honor to be able to help so many people who are going through a loss. I lost my child when I was 19 to SIDS, and an organization, much like the one that I started, was there to help me get back on my feet. I feel honored that I can do this for others as well."
