About South East Jeopardy
The Los Angeles Police Department's, Southeast Area youth programs, service the community in various capacities. They enrich the lives of many children who otherwise would not have an outlet for safe structured programs. The children in our community are faced with many obstacles. They live in a demographic area that is saturated with a multitude of various gangs and social economic challenges. They face dangers such as peer pressure into the drug community, victimization of violent crimes, teen pregnancies, and other factors associated with the destruction of a child's success in life. Our youth programs consist of Cadets (formerly Explorers), Deputy Auxiliary Police (DAPS), Jeopardy, and the Police Athletics League (PAL). The program depends solely on donations to keep the youth programs functioning, and 100% of all donations support all of the activities and events.
