SBT Seabuckthorn Announces Winners of its 'Many Wonderful Faces of Seabuckthorn' Contest

VANCOUVER, BC, July 04, 2012 (Press-News.org) The Original Seabuckthorn Company of Peachland, British Columbia, Canada is thrilled to congratulate the winners of its recent contest to showcase the many wonderful faces of SBT Seabuckthorn products. The contest, launched on April 10, 2012, received entries from across the United States & Canada. Grand Prize winner Debbie Madrigal of Bates City, MO will receive $1000 in SBT Seabuckthorn products for her first place entry.

SBT Seabuckthorn, manufacturer of a line of healing and anti-aging skincare and nutritional supplements, conceived the contest to give its customers an opportunity to share their experiences and celebrate their success with the products. "We wanted to literally 'put a face' to the transformative potential of SBT Seabuckthorn," says CEO Susan McLoughlin. "Our customers are real people. They range in age from 20 something to seniors and really appreciate the significant difference the products make to their lives."

Winners were selected by a panel of SBT Seabuckthorn employees, and the judging criteria included the quality of writing, the descriptiveness and completeness of the entry, and its emotional impact. SBT Seabuckthorn CEO Susan McLoughlin, who sat on the judges' panel, says, "The contest finalists all described experiencing relief from lingering serious health issues that had resisted treatment. The personal story related by the Grand Prize winner was particularly lively, vivid and moving."

First place went to Debbie Madrigal, who takes the SBT Flavone capsules for joint pain. "We discovered a lot about our customers through this experience," says Chuck Barton, VP of Sales & Marketing. "Many of the entrants use our products for multiple issues, many have found unexpected side-benefits, and 2/3 of the finalists use the flavone capsules."

The contest was free to enter and open to all SBT Seabuckthorn customers. First and second runners-up were Vreni Seminchuk (St. Lazare Quebec), and Laura Slowinski (Colrain Massachusetts), who will receive $500 and $250 in SBT Seabuckthorn products respectively. Debbie's winning entry, along with those of the other finalists, will become a permanent feature of SBT Seabuckthorn's new website which will be launched in the fall of 2012.
