Today Marks the Beginning Participating in Macys Shop for A Cause Program

Dallas arts non-profit to expand fundraising efforts through national retailer

DALLAS, TX, October 01, 2010 (Press-News.org) Today Marks the Beginning (TMtB), a Dallas-based non-profit arts organization that uses art to impact public awareness of social issues, has announced its participation in Macys Shop for A Cause program. The program partners with several non-profit organizations nationwide to help raise money for their ongoing charitable efforts by encouraging charities to sell five-dollar tickets, in which they keep 100 percent of the proceeds. Customers who purchase tickets benefit by receiving 10 to 20 percent shopping savings all day on Macys Shop for A Cause shopping day on October 16, 2010.

Since 2006, Macys Shop for A Cause Shop program has helped raise more than $34 million for thousands of charity partners. Macys stores nationwide will hosts special events, prizes and other in-store excitement on the Shop for A Cause shopping day. Non-profits, such as Today Marks the Beginning, will have an excellent opportunity to raise funds for their charitable efforts as well as increase their exposure to numerous consumers nationwide.
