Georgia Golf Course Owners Association Launches Play18.com

New Online and Mobile Tee Time Service Offers Golfers Quick Access to the Best Available Prices at Atlanta's Top Public Golf Courses

2012-07-11
ATLANTA, GA, July 11, 2012 (Press-News.org) In an effort to provide golfers with the best price possible and giving course owners full control of how they price and list their available tee times, the Georgia Golf Course Owners Association (GGCOA) has launched Play18.com. The new online and mobile tee time service was created to provide Atlanta area residents and visitors the most convenient and easy to use booking experience.
Created by golf course owners, Play18 pulls available tee times directly from the golf courses' website, which is where the best available price can be found. For added convenience, users will be able to create a personalized account where they can list their favorite courses, receive special promotional codes and have access to exclusive rewards offered directly by the courses. Play18 is free to join and users can book unlimited tee times for the low price of $1.99 per round. In addition to booking online, users can also download the Play18 app on their iPhone, iPad or Android device to allow them to book a tee time anywhere, anytime.
"We are extremely lucky to have a lot of great public golf courses here in Atlanta. Play18 offers area golfers a one-stop shop for finding available tee times that fit in their schedule at the best rates available," said Joe Guerra, president of the Georgia Golf Course Owners Association. "The GGCOA created Play18 to not only assist area golfers in finding tee times, but to also gives course owners the flexibility to set the rates and available tee times as well as offer special promotions exclusively with users."
Benefits for Golf Course Owners
In direct response to the industry's concerns over current online booking services, the GGCOA, with the support of the National Golf Course Owners Association, developed Play18 to offer a better solution that benefits golfers and the courses. The site was built in collaboration with course owners, golf professionals, online tee experts and other golf associations to develop a service model that is superior to anything currently being offered. There are no costs or trade tee times required for the courses to participate and 100 percent of all of the green and cart revenue goes directly to the courses.
For a complete list of courses that are available on Play18 and to find and book a tee time, visit http://www.play18.com. The Play18 mobile applications are available on iTunes and in the Android Market.
