Sponsorship by the Atlanta orthopaedic clinic for the championships gives the Atlanta orthopedic doctors from Southern Orthopaedic Specialists the unique opportunity to provide medical care for the athletes, their families, and the tournament staff.

This will be the third year that the Atlanta orthopedics clinic has provided both medical care and sponsorship to the BB&T Atlanta Open.

"We love taking care of the athletes, staff, and families involved in the BB&T Atlanta Open," explains Dr. Michael Behr, Atlanta orthopedic surgeon at Southern Orthopedic Specialists. "It's such a fun event, and we feel like our Atlanta sports medicine expertise will help keep everyone involved much healthier and speed the recovery of any injury sustained by the competitors."

The BB&T Atlanta Open will take place this year from July 14th through the 22nd, and will be hosted at Atlantic Station. It is the first ATP tournament of an eight tournament series which leads up to the US Open.
