HOLLYWOOD, CA, July 12, 2012 (Press-News.org) This not-for-profit Activist Arts Festival features music, visual and interactive art, comedy, speakers and theatrics - including this year's Festival Theme of socially relevant Film Shorts. With over 40 performances/screenings, this 7 hour event will be a landmark experience. Partners for this event include the Artivist Film Festival, KPFK Radio, Project Peace On Earth, LA Food Bank & Cell-nique.
The talent list includes live performances & presentations by chart topping South African Songwriter Cofield Mundi, world renowned Sufi singer & composer Sussan Deyhim, Emmy nominated TV writer ("Heroes", "Touch") Tim Kring, international best selling author and lecturer Marianne Williamson, violin virtuoso and activist Lili Haydn, the comedy of award winning comedian/actor Rick Overton and much more.
Film Short screenings will include directors/creators such as Rutger Hauer, James Cromwell, Jason Taylor, Mark Magedson, George Langworthy and many more established and up and coming filmmakers.
The 2nd annual Zeitgeist Media Festival runs from 4:00pm to 11:00pm and is an all ages event. In addition to $30.00 per ticket, attendees are encouraged to contribute a small canned/sealed food donation to to support the poverty stricken in Los Angeles in association with the LA Food Bank.
