RALEIGH, NC, July 13, 2012 (Press-News.org) SfL+a Architects (http://www.sfla.biz) has announced that Chad M. Volk, Associate AIA, has joined the firm as a project designer. In his new position, Volk will use his 12 years of experience to oversee project management and construction administration, as well as maintain communication and coordination efforts with engineers, construction managers and business owners.
A native of Mansfield, Ohio, Volk received a bachelor's degree in architecture from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and a master's degree in architecture from NC State University. Prior to joining SfL+a Architects, he served as an independent contractor with Omega Design Architecture in Cary, N.C. and as a project manager with Moseley Architects in Morrisville, N.C. He also was an intern architect with Davis Kane Architects in Raleigh, and JL Bender Architects and Planners in Columbus. An active architectural professional, Volk is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), a member of the Young Architects Forum, and a member of the Downtown Raleigh Alliance.
