WESTFIELD, NJ, July 18, 2012 (Press-News.org) "LASIK patients, cosmetic eye plastic surgery and BOTOX patients and to a lesser but still significant extent cataract and lens implant patients-want to be able to find us on their smartphone and mobile devices today," stated Jerette Lerner of The Eye Care & Surgery Center. "Following the trends since January convinced us that we needed to have not simply a mobile compatible web site, but a real mobile web site with convenient mobile functioning for our patients."

"With smartphone sales projected to quadruple between 2000 and 2015 and mobile internet usage looking like it will exceed desktop internet usage by 2014, more and more eye care practices are considering the need to expand their web presence with a mobile web site," commented Katherine Carlisle, Managing Member of Medical Management Services Group, L.L.C. an ophthalmology practice management and management consulting firm active in digital eye care services.

"We thought by making it easy for patients to call us on the cell phone with simple "click to talk" features, it would facilitate LASIK inquiry, but really overall convenience and ease of scheduling appointments," highlighted Ms. Lerner. "The overall metrics suggest that those using mobile search do in fact "click to talk" some 60% of the time. This is a huge improvement over desktop search," noted Ms. Carlisle.
