WASHINGTON, DC, July 19, 2012 (Press-News.org) Specialty Hospital of Washington and United Medical Center hosted the 2nd Annual Physicians Conference on Physician Documentation and Coding Guidelines for Medicare Reimbursement for Inpatient Care in LTAC Hospitals. The conference was designed to help physicians navigate through Medicare coding changes, regulations, and documentation as it relates to physician reimbursement for services.

This year's speaker was Marian Costello of Costello & Associates, a Pittsburgh, PA based firm specializing in consulting services to healthcare systems and guiding physicians and hospitals in Medicare compliance issues, audits, documentation, and coding.

The educational presentation is part of the Specialty Hospital of Washington's professional outreach program to help its physicians and other DC area doctors have a better understanding of the ever-changing Medicare regulations governing care for an important part of their patient population.
