The Henri Lloyd Falmouth Week gets underway on August 11th, with hundreds of yachts set to compete in races over eight days.

MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, July 20, 2012 (Press-News.org) More than 300 yachts will converge on the south-west coast of England for this year's Henri Lloyd Falmouth Week next month.
 
Running from Saturday August 11th to Sunday August 19th, the event combines yacht racing with a variety of shoreside activities, ranging from an extreme mountain bike showcase to a gig from ABBA tribute act Bjorn Again.
 
The group will perform hits from the Swedish pop icons at Events Square on August 14th from 19:00 BST, with tickets priced at GBP15.
 
On the water, the week is due to get underway with the Falmouth Classics, which sees over 100 classic yachts racing in the Carrick Roads and Falmouth Bay.
 
Wednesday - or Champagne Day - is set to be a highlight, as vessels in the IRC and PY 1&2 classes and MOCRA multihulls will compete on a long coastal course.
 
All winners will receive a champagne prize from the Mayor of Falmouth during a special event at the Falmouth Watersports Centre.
