On Site Energy provides Humidity Control in the Hamptons

Weather is always a factor in construction, especially when you are dealing with material that is sensitive to the environment. One contractor had a humidity problem so severe it had the potential to shut down his multimillion-dollar project.

2012-07-20
HICKSVILLE, NY, July 20, 2012 (Press-News.org) When you are building a home in the celebrity-rich area of the Hamptons, NY, the last thing you need is humidity crimping the game. The current heat wave in the Northeast almost brought a multimillion-dollar home construction site to its knees when humidity affected the installation of high line flooring and woodwork. The general contractor in charge called the rental solution experts from On Site Energy for help.

Environmental Control
Weather is always a factor in construction, especially when you are dealing with material that is sensitive to the environment. One contractor had a humidity problem so severe it had the potential to shut down his multimillion-dollar project. When it came time to install the expensive woodwork and flooring, the flooring subcontractor found with current climate issues, he could not proceed.

Construction Site Cooling Saves the Day
On Site Energy provides portable heating and cooling rental options for any size project. The field specialists are able to take a situation and tailor a solution based on the needs of the customer. When the general contractor in the Hamptons needed to move his home project forward, he contacted On Site for advice.

The contractor's first inclination was to rent a dehumidifier. After inspecting the site and discussing concerns with the general contractor, specialist Dennis French offered a comprehensive solution that would do more then just reduce the moisture content in the air. On Site Energy provided a 50 ton air conditioner rental to both cool the work area and provide humidity control at the construction site.

To power the temporary cooling equipment, On Site Energy brought in a 125 kW generator. When it comes to rental solutions, On Site is a full service operation. Air conditioning systems need a duct network to move the air. On Site provided the 20" flexible duct system to pipe cool air throughout the construction site.

Getting Results
After inquiring about renting a dehumidifier to save his high-cost construction project from disaster, the subcontractor was back on the job. On Site Energy setup the air conditioning rental system and just 24-hours later, the contractor was moving forward with his flooring and woodwork installation. With three branches on the East coast and one in the Midwest, On Site can deploy rental solutions for temporary shelter, power and environmental control in a timely manner - 24/7, 365 days a year.

On Site Energy Co., a solution driven, regional renter of power, cooling, and heating equipment with field experts to assist customers in all event, industrial, commercial, and technology related sectors meet their goals and reduce their exposure while providing an environmentally friendly alternative.
