SUWANEE, GA, July 22, 2012 (Press-News.org) Make A Difference Foundation, Inc (MADF) announced today that Ms. Bianca Dorsey will receive its first ever emergency tuition assistance scholarship which will allow Ms. Dorsey to return for her senior year at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia
MADF strives to not only ensure all youth have an opportunity to attend college, regardless of their socio-economic status, but to also make sure they are able to remain in school and not forced to drop out due to financial hardships. "It's unfortunate, but many times just getting accepted into college and maintaining a good GPA are not the most pressing concerns facing our students, states MADF Executive Director Donovan R. Quary Sr; "the ongoing struggle to pay for that education can be unnecessarily stressful and a bit overwhelming. MADF recognizes the growing need for this type of assistance and is thrilled to be able to implement this program".
Bianca is a Political Science and Economics double major. She maintains a 3.8 GPA and is a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International and the Glee Club. She's also Vice President of the Economics Club, as well as, founding President of Democracy Matters and a member of the Ethel Waddell Githii Honors Program. "While working multiple jobs and maintaining a full time course load, Bianca has demonstrated incredible tenacity and drive", says Donovan; "making this future Spelmanite most deserving of this award".
Make A Difference Foundation, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to the cultural, educational, economic, and social enrichment of underprivileged youth.
