RALEIGH, NC, July 28, 2012 (Press-News.org) Robert Macia, president of Stewart Engineering (http://www.stewart-eng.com), has announced that the firm has relocated their material testing laboratory to a new 3,000 square-foot facility located at 2201 Brentwood Road in Raleigh. Stewart Engineering offers in-house construction material testing services to provide owners and contractors with testing and special inspections during the construction phase of projects. Under the leadership of Don Brown, PE LEED AP, construction services department manager, this new laboratory will test soil, concrete, asphalt, spray-applied fireproofing material and a variety of other materials. In addition to housing the testing lab, the space will serve as the home for Stewart's special inspections, geotechnical engineering and construction engineering and inspection (CEI) groups. The facility will have 14 employees working on-site, including four professional engineers.

"We've had success expanding this part of our business, and relocating our laboratory to this larger facility will allow us to have engineers on-site at the testing location and expand the material testing services that we can provide to our clients."
