RALEIGH, NC, July 29, 2012 (Press-News.org) Capital Sign Solutions is proud to announce the recent hiring of Lanier Riddick as Vice President of Sales. In his position, Riddick will manage all corporate sales operations, develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company's sales goals, and manage the sales teams, operations, and resources to deliver profitable growth.
Riddick graduated from Campbell University with a BA in History and has over 23 years in sales and marketing experience. His marketing career has covered such markets as retail, distribution, automotive assembly, healthcare, and food processing. His sales experience is equally extensive and spans the construction, materials handling equipment, returnable packaging, displays, and custom steel fabrication industries. His sales career also includes many notable corporate achievements.
From 1994 to 2004, he was the Southeast Regional Account Manager for ORBIS/Menasha Corp. During his 10 years, he tripled territory revenue from $2 million to $6 million a year in a two-year period. He also consistently exceeded sales expectations and was recognized as the top regional sales person from 1999 to 2003.
His next two years were spent at Sertapack Group in Ontario, Canada where he served as Southeastern U.S. Sales Manager. While there, Riddick's first-year sales was $2 million, and he expanded the company's national customer base for proprietary flat glass shipping systems used by window and door manufacturers. From 2006 to 2008, he was the U.S. Product Manager of Distribution Containers for Norseman Plastics in Toronto, Canada. During this time, he doubled U.S. sales of plastic distribution containers to customers in his first year, established a nationwide dealer/distributor network to serve select accounts and markets, and developed and implemented a long-term product strategy to assure 20% annual revenue growth while increasing average margin from 15% to 25%.
Prior to joining Capital Sign Solutions, Riddick served as Southeast Regional Sales Manager for Monoflo International in Winchester, Virginia. Most notably, he expanded the company's southeastern dealer/distribution network to better serve its customer base and secured Volkswagen Group of America Assembly Plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee as a new national account with an estimated 2011 sales of $1.5 million.
Capital Sign Solutions provides comprehensive sign solutions including initial site survey, codes research and permitting, sign design and development, and installation. Company owner, Patrick Mills, says that it was Riddick's proven sales success, along with his strong ties to North Carolina, that made him the ideal choice for this key position.
"Our corporate goals for the next three years are very aggressive," says Mills. "We want to be a $5 million company with a dominant market share in central North Carolina. Lanier has proven himself to be an extremely successful sales leader and exceptionally adept at expanding into new markets. His experience and knowledge are an immeasurable asset to Capital Sign Solutions, and we're very fortunate to have him as part of our executive team."
Riddick said that he looks forward to the challenge and opportunity of expanding the Capital Sign Solution's customer base.
"Patrick and the entire Capital Sign Solutions team have established a solid industry reputation of providing superior customer service and quality sign products," says Riddick. "My sales career has been based on providing customer 'tailored' solutions and building long-term relationships with both customers and suppliers. I am very impressed with the team of designers, project managers, and installers that Patrick has put together in order to achieve our corporate goal of being the 'Customer-Preferred Sign Solution' in North Carolina."
