The Compass Project Boosts Titan Homes Sales by 15%

New money-management program creates bankable home buyers

2010-10-03
ST. CHARLES, MO, October 03, 2010 (Press-News.org) A local home builder has personal budgeting coaches for The Compass Project to thank for 15% of their business this year, in spite of nationwide historical lows in new-home sales. Titan Homes Inc., a St. Charles-based home builder, referred six of their prospective home buyers to The Compass Project, a personal budgeting and money-management program offered by The Sack Group Inc., to help them qualify for a mortgage loan. As a result, those home buyers were able to close on their new homes this year.

"Selling six homes this year is very significant for us," said Rick Cronin, owner of Titan Homes. "We sold about 40 homes last year, and we believe we will hit the same number this year. We would not be able to do that without The Compass Project."

The Compass Project helped the Titan clients improve their credit score, pay down high debt and save for a down payment.

"Our program takes unqualified home buyers and grooms them to become bankable customers," said Mark Hollander, vice president of communications at The Sacks Group and a counselor for The Compass Project.

The Compass Project also helps consumers budget their finances, save for college or retirement and avoid bankruptcy or foreclosure.

The Sacks Group is offering The Compass Project to all Realtors, home builders and mortgage lenders to help spur home buying in the St. Louis/St. Charles area.

"We have spoken with several home builders in the metro region, but Titan was quick to realize the value of nurturing and developing their potential home buyers," Hollander said.

"This is not an overnight process. But with the full cooperation of the client and a well-executed plan of attack, great improvement and progress can be made to an individual's financial position in just six to eight months," he said.
