HICKSVILLE, NY, August 01, 2012 (Press-News.org) Each year, artMRKT Hamptons brightens up Bridgehampton with contemporary art from around the world. This three-day show does not come without its challenges. The hot climate during the summer months in New York can wreak havoc on both the art and potential buyers. The size of the show makes tents necessary. The organizer, artMRKT, set up brilliant white tents and calls On Site Energy to keep things cool.
About the Show
The annual show in Bridgehampton welcomes presentations from 40 galleries all over the United States. The event hosts are the Bridgehampton Historical Society, but the prestigious artMRKT organizes the exhibits. The boutique style fair offers paintings, sculpture, photography and video presentations. Guests from all over the region pay to attend the event. This year's show, held from July 19 - 22, offered a special preview to support the Parrish Art Museum.
The Challenge
The challenge On Site Energy faces with the artMRKT Bridgehampton shows is protecting the artwork from environmental damage plus keeping guests in the mood to buy. The 2012 fair utilized four separate shelters, each one in need of a tent style air conditioner rental.
On Site Energy offers full service rental solutions that provide, not only the air conditional rental, but generator rental, as well. For the Historical Society's event cooling, On Site utilized seven 20-ton air conditioners to provide temporary cooling. Each of the three main tents required two air conditioners apiece. The fourth tent was a small finishing station that needed just one cooler. To keep all the systems running, the experts from On Site Energy used 500 kW generator sets that provided temporary power for the air conditioning systems, back up energy sources and the tent lighting.
