The Green Buddha is the creation of the mother and daughter team of Jeanne Dowell and Dana Dowell Windatt. "For me, ita all started after I went to a grief workshop," says Jeanne, which "recommended that everyday we write about something we are grateful for and what it does in our lives, and I quickly felt the positive power of this attitude of gratitude." Jeanne's daughter adopted the new writing ritual, and the two started to brainstorm ideas for sharing their new attitude with others. Dowell asked her daughter to illustrate the concept of a clothing line which reflects and inspires a spirit of gratitude. Soon, the on-line retail store was launched.

The New Hampshire Institute of Art will host the first public exhibit of original photographs from the private collection of Thomas Adams at the French Building Gallery in Manchester from October 4 - 31, 2010 with an opening reception from 5-7 pm on Monday, Oct. 4.
