Sulphur Springs Residents Provided Free Laundry by Tampa Bay Nonprofit

Current of Tampa Bay, Inc. returns to Sulphur Springs for a Laundry Love Project

2012-08-04
LUTZ, FL, August 04, 2012 (Press-News.org) Current of Tampa Bay, Inc. will be in Sulphur Springs for a Laundry Love Project on Saturday, Aug. 4. Volunteers will assist residents by providing free washing and drying services between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Laundromat is located at 908 E. Waters Ave.,Tampa, FL 33604.

Current of Tampa Bay, Inc. President/Founder Jason Sowell and his volunteer team have been providing free laundry services throughout Tampa for over two years. The Laundry Love Project recently had success by hosting two projects at the same time on opposite sides of town. "The more people we help, the better some peoples lives will be through this simple, yet often overlooked need: doing their laundry. two locations at the same time allows us to positively affect more people" stated founder, Jason Sowell.

Current is dedicated to assisting families with this expensive yet necessary task and understands the significance of helping Sulphur Spring residents enjoy clean clothes and linen. Each Laundry Love Project regularly washes about 170 or more loads for dozens of families. "Current is thankful for the much needed community support for these projects as we continue to serve families in Tampa Bay. We are encouraged by the number of organizations that are assisting us to provide free laundry services for deserving families," said Sowell. In neighborhoods such as Sulphur Springs, a large number of households do not have washers and dryers thus the laundromat is even more important.

To continue these projects, Current seeks donations of laundry detergent, quarters (rolls of $10), 1-gallon Ziploc bags, garbage bags, coloring books, crayons, fabric softener, and laundry baskets. Donations can be brought to the event on the morning of Aug 4, or contact Jason Sowell at 727.537.9082. More information about this event can be found online at http://www.LaundrybyCurrent.org
