RALEIGH, NC, August 07, 2012 (Press-News.org) On Sunday, September 16th at 3 p.m., The Music at Good Shepherd Concert Series presents toe-tapping Irish music featuring fiddle-guitar duo Cady Finlayson & Vita Tanga.

Their show includes "Spirited Irish music with a global twist", blending Irish fiddle tunes with American folk and world music influences. The concert will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7000 Creedmoor Rd. in Raleigh NC. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.

Cady Finlayson, fiddle

Cady Finlayson has brought her Spirited Irish fiddling to 35 states, performing at venues including Carnegie Hall, the Blackstone Valley Celtic Festival, and Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts. Her three fiddle cds have attracted listeners from Australia to Japan and her Irish Coffee CD was one of five nominated for "Best Celtic CD of 2007" by the NAR Lifestyle awards. Music from her Harp and Shamrock CD can be heard in Irish-American baseball movie, The Emerald Diamond and documentary film Child of Giants.

Vita Tanga, guitar
Vita has performed and recorded on four continents, from Radio City Music Hall in New York to Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris - his hometown. A sought-after composer in World/Urban music and film scoring, Vita brings his world music influences to the duo. Vita met Cady while playing on the First National Tour of Almost Heaven (a show about John Denver) and they have been playing Irish music together ever since.
