McCurley Orsinger McCurley Nelson & Downing Adds Two Family Law Associates in Dallas

Associates Mary Louise Phelps and Michael Wysocki have joined the Dallas office of the Family Law firm of McCurley Orsinger McCurley Nelson & Downing, L.L.P.

DALLAS, TX, August 09, 2012 (Press-News.org) The Family Law firm of McCurley Orsinger McCurley Nelson & Downing, L.L.P., is pleased to announce the addition of associates Mary Louise Phelps and Michael D. Wysocki in the firm's Dallas office.

"Mary Louise and Michael bring with them not only unique expertise but also exceptional legal acumen," says McCurley Orsinger McCurley Nelson & Downing founding partner Mike McCurley. "We are very pleased that they have chosen to join our firm."

Ms. Phelps' practice includes a wide range of Family Law matters with a special focus on cases involving substance abuse, mental illness, domestic violence and custody issues. Her practice also incorporates the use of Collaborative Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution methods.

A native of New Orleans, Ms. Phelps earned her law degree in 2005 from Tulane University Law School, where she served on the school's Steering Committee for Alternative Dispute Resolution. She graduated from Tulane University with her undergraduate degree in 2001 before earning her MBA in 2005. While in school, she worked in the West Wing of the White House, at Patton Boggs L.L.P., with the Cannes Film Festival and at Conde Nast publishing. She is a former executive recruiter, leading search committees to recruit presidents, provosts and deans for universities and colleges across the country.

Mr. Wysocki is a respected Family Law litigator with extensive experience in a variety of cases involving divorce, premarital agreements, spousal support, child custody, termination of parental rights, international child abduction, grandparent visitation and custody rights, and adoption. He also has extensive Collaborative Law training.

Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Mr. Wysocki is licensed to practice law in Texas and New Mexico. He twice has been honored on the Texas Rising Stars listing by the publishers of Super Lawyers, a designation limited to the top 2.5 percent of eligible attorneys. Martindale-Hubbell, which ranks lawyers across the U.S., has recognized Mr. Wysocki with a Preeminent rating based on client reviews and a BV Distinguished rating based on reviews from other lawyers. He graduated, magna cum laude, from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2006, and was a member of the Texas Tech Law Review. He earned his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2003.
