Practice Management Institute Faculty Member, Audrey Coaxum, to Present at the Texas Medical Group Management Association's Fall Conference

Practice Management Institute (PMI) faculty member, Audrey Coaxum, will present at the Texas Medical Group Management Association's (TMGMA), "Executive on the Edge," 2012 Fall Conference in Houston in September.

SAN ANTONIO, TX, August 11, 2012 (Press-News.org) Practice Management Institute (PMI) faculty member, Audrey Coaxum, will present at the Texas Medical Group Management Association's (TMGMA), "Executive on the Edge," 2012 Fall Conference in Houston in September. The event will take place in Houston at the Westin Memorial City Hotel.

Audrey Coaxum, CHI, CMCO, CMC, CMIS, CMOM, will teach two sessions related to the implementation of ICD-10. The sessions will deliver important news and updates that Texas carriers need to help guide them on the implementation of ICD-10 and secure accurate reimbursement once the new codes go into effect.

"Dramatic change requires planning, workflow analysis, training and expertise," said Pam Potter, President of the Texas MGMA. "Texas MGMA welcomes the opportunity to learn from PMI as we plot our route towards ICD-10 implementation."

Coaxum has spent more than 15 years in the health care industry as a hands-on specialist. She is a Certified Healthcare Instructor, who has trained physicians and health care personnel on medical documentation and compliance issues relating to the coding, billing and reimbursement for services. She has developed and taught a variety of training programs and assessments on practice management, coding, billing and compliance. Additionally, Audrey has conducted chart audits to identify physician utilization trends, compliance and potential areas of risk.

The TMGMA's Fall Conference was developed for medical group managers of all practice specialties who are interested in learning practical healthcare solutions. Professionals encouraged to attend are medical group administrators, executives, managers, health administration students and faculty.
