TORONTO, ON, August 22, 2012 (Press-News.org) FrostByte Media is proud to announce that singer/songwriter Melissa Bel has been selected as the winning act, among 17 talented artists in the Honey Jam Showcase that took place on August 16, 2012 at The Mod Club in Toronto, Ontario, for the opportunity to perform in Barbados on November 17th.
In June of this year, Melissa auditioned with hundreds of other female performers with her song, "Distance," for a chance to be selected to perform at the showcase. Now, having heard her sing at the showcase, Honey Jam is presenting Melissa Bel with the chance to perform in a major venue in Barbados on November 17th (sponsored by The Barbados Tourism Authority). This great opportunity was awarded to the artist with a "warm open personality, showing reliability, professionalism, and talent, as well as demonstrating clear excitement and passion for the opportunity being offered," whose promo video of the song they performed had the most youtube views, re-tweets and reaction from viewers.
Quite the criteria but Melissa met each one handily with just under 30,000 views and no one else coming close to approaching her. She performed the song "Distance" to a full house at The Mod Club and the crowd was electrified by her performance accompanied by guitarist Mike Todd.
