Frontline Test Equipment is pleased to announce the release of a 64-bit Windows 7 compatible Modbus protocol analyzer.Frontline's Serialtest Async software is a PC-based analyzer for passively monitoring or actively testing asynchronous serial communication circuits. It includes decoders for Modbus ASCII and Modbus RTU protocols. The Serialtest analyzer software works with Frontline's RS-232 ComProbe II and the RS-422/485 ComProbe devices to capture data from RS-232 and RS-422/485 networks. Frontline now provides drivers for 64-bit Windows 7 for both these devices.
The Serialtest Async analyzer now supports a hardware-based copy-protection scheme that makes it easier for the end-user to install and use the software and hardware on multiple PCs. The software also includes a new tool called "DecoderScript Wizard". This wizard creates simple custom decoders to help users get started with writing their own scripts to decode their proprietary serial communication protocols.
The vast majority of new PCs come standard with 64-bit Windows 7. The new version of Serialtest will be very helpful for people making the shift to the new platform. With this new release, Frontline once again demonstrates its leadership in developing protocol analysis tools for serial communication technologies.
Frontline is the world's leading provider of PC-based protocol analyzers for special-purpose data communication networks. We pioneered portable and versatile trouble-shooting software solutions for serial and Ethernet network topologies and communication protocols.
