Chris L. Baker Joins SEPI Engineering & Construction As A Project Manager

Local Firm Hires Engineering Professional With More Than 27 Years Of Experience

CHARLOTTE, NC, August 24, 2012 (Press-News.org) Sepi Asefnia, president of SEPI Engineering & Construction (http://www.sepiengineering.com), a firm which provides civil engineering and planning services to private and public sector clients across the Southeast, has announced the addition of Chris L. Baker as a project manager. In his position, Mr. Baker will use his more than 27 years of experience to serve as the roadway design lead for the Charlotte Area Transportation System (CATS) LYNX Blue Line Extension project, a 2.6-mile light rail service extension in the city that will offer an alternative to congestion on Interstate 85.

A native of Washington, D.C., Mr. Baker received an associate degree in architectural engineering technology from the University of the District of Columbia. Prior to joining SEPI Engineering & Construction, he served as the deputy roadway lead with AECOM for the I-595 design build project in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Mr. Baker is a member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and is a regular volunteer with Angel Tree Prison Ministry, a ministry that serves the children and families of inmates. He resides in Concord, N.C., with his wife, Cheryl, and two children, Cherise and Christopher.
