ThunderSale Takes a New Direction with Personalized Online Shopping Experience Venture

New site will offer community top-ranked deals in specific categories

MARTINEZ, CA, August 31, 2012 (Press-News.org) The online shopping site, http://www.ThunderSale.com, has taken a new direction and will be providing an online space for bargain seekers to share, rank and access the best deals on the web.

In regards to the new direction, "this is better than any deal service we could possibly provide. We thrive through our own experiences, interests and opinions. If we want to provide quality deals for specific interests, we need to get the community involved by providing a space for the sharing of bargains" says Director of Marketing, Janet Rodriguez.

By involving the community, the top-voted deals would have gone through a number of eyes that not only know that specific industry, but have also had experience shopping for those items, understand brands, quality and price. "We all know we are rebuilding from the financial crisis we are experiencing. We are excited that we can help our customers shop for their necessities at the most affordable prices", added Janet.

It helped the team to get grounded and go back to the original problem they were trying to solve. "I wanted consumers to be able to define their specific interests and immediately see the best deals on the Internet within those interest categories. For example, I'm a mountain biker. Where can I go to see the best deals anywhere on the net for mountain bike stuff?" says CEO, Woody Hunt.

In the first version of ThunderSale the goal was to build a online shopping site that would service specific interests, narrowed down to 200 categories. Then, the ThunderSale team discovered there was an interactive platform available for their users, and decided to make better use of their time and adjust. The social news site, Reddit, has been successful at creating a platform for sharing and ranking. By tapping into the natural human tendency to share and spread the word about good deals, this setup could be valuable to the bargain-seeking community.
