BUENA PARK, CA, September 01, 2012 (Press-News.org) Data Specialties Inc. (DSI) has been providing nationwide datacenter design-build services for over 20 years from its headquarters in Orange County, California. Due to the strong growth of company demand and the increase in data center activity in the eastern half of the country, DSI sought an anchored presence in the midland region to better serve its clients and existing projects in middle America. Having existing office locations in Phoenix, Arizona, Sacramento and Orange County, California, St. Louis was an attractive central location due to DSI's targeted expansion into the nearby regions of Chicago, Indiana, Texas, Nebraska, and Georgia.
"With a home base that can serve and focus on the central part of the United States, we will be on track towards our projected growth of doubling the size of our market share and creating a truly national footprint over the next two years", states Steve Borley, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Data Specialties Inc.
In order to bring its same level of industry knowledge and expertise to the central part of the states, DSI has recruited a few of the industry's top talent already rooted in the local area. Jon Jonz, newly appointed Regional Manager for DSIs St. Louis office, has over 20 years of experience in the construction and data center services industry. Jonz's most recent experience includes the organization and start-up of a data center consulting firm and he is active in numerous regional data center organizations, including AFCOM, in addition to being a founding member of the St. Louis Gateway Board of Directors. He regularly speaks at tradeshows and corporate events across the country, and is a recognized expert in the areas of cooling and power efficiency. Jonz will be responsible for the general management and sales of the St. Louis office.
Mike Balles is a 28-year veteran of the data center industry and the Technical Manager for DSI - St. Louis. In his tenure he has specialized in the planning and design of technical facilities as well as the design and construction of data centers, network switching facilities, call centers, cable television head-ends, cell sites, and numerous healthcare facilities. Balles's career includes work as lead designer and project manager for several design, engineering, and data-center design-build firms. He is also a member of a number of construction and data center service organizations.
Kevin Mattison is the Construction Manager for DSI's St. Louis office. For the past decade, Kevin has been managing construction of data center ground-up and renovation projects for mission critical facilities and has more than 30 years of hands on experience in the field.
With its new facility now open and fully staffed with local area data center professionals, DSI is ready and able to fulfill midwest as well as east coast data center projects and inquiries. With licensing in over 24 states, Data Specialties Inc. is officially standing ground as a nation wide data center design-build construction firm.
