Richard S. Webb, IV, an attorney and shareholder in the firm of Icard, Merrill, Cullis, Timm, Furen & Ginsburg, P.A., played a key role in the closing of what could be one of Sarasota County's largest real estate transactions in recent years.

Earlier this year, Webb represented Dutchman Hospitality Group Inc, in the purchase of Sarasota's well-known Dutch Heritage Restaurant and related "Pinecraft Community" properties from Troyer Corp. for a total of $5,194,444. Both the buyer and seller are headquartered in Walnut Creek, Ohio.

More than 13 individual properties were included in the sale, the main properties being the 35,000-square-foot restaurant, which is located at 3737 Bahia Vista Street and the adjacent Pinecraft Plaza Shopping Center. Other smaller properties include various vacant lots and homes in the surrounding area. The total square footage represented by the sale was approximately 62,396 square feet.

Mr. Webb concentrates his practice in real estate law, business law, and manufactured housing/mobile home law. He has represented clients in complex real estate and business matters in Florida since 1977. He has received the "AV" rating, the highest rating available, from Martindale-Hubbard, which is recognized as the most respected information source about members of the legal community and is based upon peer review ratings by other lawyers and the judiciary. Mr. Webb has served as legal advisor to The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art and the Sarasota Art Association, among other civic organizations.
