New Jersey Companies Celebrate National Staffing Employee Week

From September 10th - 16th, New Jersey companies will join organizations across the U.S. and celebrate National Staffing Employee Week.

2012-09-09
EATONTOWN, NJ, September 09, 2012 (Press-News.org) From September 10th - 16th, New Jersey companies will join organizations across the U.S. and celebrate National Staffing Employee Week. The holiday honors the millions of workers employed through staffing firms nationwide.

"In such an unpredictable economy, a contingent workforce is becoming more important to a company's staffing strategy," says Frank Wyckoff, President of The Wyckoff Group - Snelling Staffing (TWG), a national staffing organization with an emphasis on serving New Jersey businesses. "Temporary and contract workers are becoming the new normal."

According to the American Staffing Association, U.S. staffing agencies created more new jobs than any other industry during the economic recovery. The Bureau of Labor Statistics states that the temporary help services industry added nearly half a million workers and accounted for 91% of total nonfarm job growth. Staffing Industry Analysts also reports that U.S. staffing industry revenue is expected to expand by 10 percent in 2012.

A recent CareerBuilder survey additionally found a 12 percent increase in the number of employers planning to use contract or temporary workers this year. Wyckoff attributes the growth to the benefits that employers recognize from using staffing firms during a recovering economy:

• Different hiring options (Temporary, Temp-to-Hire, Direct-Hire) offer employers flexibility
• Staffing firms eliminate the "hidden costs" associated with hiring including payrolling, administrative costs, benefits spending and unemployment claims
• Temporary and contract workers prevent employee burnout while increasing production levels
• Staffing firms use their expansive recruiting network to identify top talent

"We are very excited to highlight the contributions of workers employed through staffing agencies," adds Wyckoff. "These dedicated workers are helping local businesses become more productive, innovative and profitable."

TWG is a national staffing organization with an emphasis serving Central Jersey. For more information about TWG, please visit http://www.snellingnj.com or call 732.389.0300.
